Eric Brown (actor)

Eric Brown is a former American film and television actor. Brown is best known for his role as Phillip Fillmore in the 1981 coming of age film Private Lessons and as Vinton Buzz Harper, Jr. in the syndicated American sitcom Mamas Family.

Eric Brown was the communications director for the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation from 2003 to 2014. He is currently the principal of Brownbridge Strategies, a strategy and communications consulting firm that works with nonprofit organizations and foundations. He presently resides in California with his wife Janine, and their daughter Maggie, who was born in January 1996.
